Meet the Team

Charles Goldsmith, MD

Charles Goldsmith, MD, FACOG, is the founder and CEO of Dr. G's Weight Loss and Wellness Program.

Dr Goldsmith graduated Temple University summa cum laude in 1969 with a BA.degree in Psychology. He attended Jefferson Medical College where he earned his MD degree 1973, continuing his education with his internship and residency in OBGYN at the University of Miami School of Medicine and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He began the private practice of OBGYN in 1977 and for the next 25 years, practiced in the Miami area, specializing in women's health care issues..

In 1993, in response to the growing problem of obesity in the United States, Dr. Goldsmith developed a weight loss and wellness program primarily for his patients. His program was inspired by principals of preventive care and weight management utilized by the major spas and medical centers of Europe, but not yet available to the American market.

He computerized the data entry so vital for optimum patient management and developed the software necessary to individualize therapy on a large scale, allowing for a readily reproducible and turnkey weight management system. Dr.G's Weight Loss System was thus begun, and soon, because of the great success of the program, word spread, and over the last 15 years, Dr. Goldsmith and associates have successfully treated over 40,000 patients worldwide. In 2008, because of the great interest among his many Hispanic patients, Dr. Goldsmith began to develop a network of affiliate offices throughout Central and South America. Because of their success, he is now developing a network of affiliate offices throughout the United States.

Dr Goldsmith is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the Dade County Medical Association, Florida OBGYN Society, the Menopause Society of North America, the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and the North American Association for the study of Obesity. Dr. Goldsmith is past president of the William A Little JMH ObGyn Resident Alumni Society and is the president and CEO of the Clinical Research Institute of South Florida, a research company devoted to the study of women's health issues.

Dr. Goldsmith resides with his family in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.
